Mary was one, lone, pregnant teenager, and because of her humility, and her understanding of what God wanted of her, for the good of the whole world, she sang a song that changed everything!
Mary, a young teenager herself, demonstrates incredible faith, humility, and trust in God’s plan. Her song serves as an inspiration and guide for us as we navigate the challenges and joys of life. Join us this year as we dive into this powerful song together!
The Youth Pilgrimage is a week of lively worship, teaching, fellowship and fun for 11-18 year olds.
The traditional pilgrimage devotions are presented in an upbeat, lively and enjoyable way which makes them relevant for our young people in today’s world. Over 500 young people gather in Walsingham for the week from all over the UK and internationally, giving them a chance to meet other Christians and explore their faith in a safe environment. Over the years it has changed the lives of countless young people who have never forgotten their week in Walsingham and many of them have come to love the Shrine and to make the pilgrimage ever since.

We provide travel, tents, equipment and full catering in a secure camp site where safety, security and safeguarding are the priority. We participate in the timetable activities arranged by the Shrine although we have a few free afternoons for our own trips or to explore the village and shrine. You will need to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towels, toiletries, a torch and sensible clothing
Cost
If you wish to join the group from South Wales the cost is £150 per person. Bursaries are available for those who cannot afford this.
Safety
Young people’s safety is our priority and we follow the Safeguarding Policies and Guidelines of the Church in Wales. We will have our own First Aid provision and there will also be a team of professional paramedics on site throughout the event. The campsite is thoroughly secure and is patrolled by stewards and a security team. Personal ID wrist bands will be issued to all pilgrims on arrival. Our Group will be one group of many young people from all over the country. Each group is responsible for its own supervision and all leaders must have been through the DBS enhanced disclosure procedure as stipulated by their own Diocesan Child Protection guidelines, and the Diocese of Norwich
